Carl Lewis died aged 46 at 1:07am
Carl had 3 sisters and 2 brothers
Carl had fought a long and very hard battle with firstly his throat cancer and latterly with secondary bone cancer which ate away at him until he could bare it no longer.
Carl was such a brave man. He was kind, loving and liked by everyone who met him
I remember being at his funeral and a work collegue got up and said a few words.
When carl had been diagnosed with cancer and he could only whisper to talk, he walked into work and said "what can i say, im speechless".
My cousin James also re-called another story being when he was a teenager and Carl had knicked grandads drink, and when grandad had a friend round he went to pour them a drink, only to find that Carl had drunken it all and filled it back up with water.
At his funeral everyone could only talk about the good times they had with Carl, and we'll keep those memories and keep him in our hearts
